Astound Broadband, the sixth-largest telecommunications provider in the United States, is seeking a Broadband Network Technician I, II, or III to join our team in La Conner, WA. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our telecommunications services, which include data, video, and telephone systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving system outages, ensuring that our customers receive uninterrupted service. This role involves emergency restoration of coaxial cables, underground cable maintenance, and the upkeep of power supply systems. Additionally, the technician will handle leakage issues and splicing tasks, all while maintaining accurate documentation of their work. Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is required, emphasizing the importance of reliability and responsiveness in this role. In a typical day, the Broadband Technician will engage in various activities, including detecting and resolving system outages, performing emergency coax restoration, and maintaining underground cables. The technician will also be responsible for the maintenance of power supply systems and active components, addressing leakage problems, and performing splicing tasks. Documentation of all activities is essential to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. The role may also include other duties as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of the telecommunications industry.
