About The Position

The Internet Manager is responsible for ensuring customer retention, unit sales and profitability through online vehicle sales. The Internet Manager will work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge the disconnect in the sales process via online. This role involves forecasting annual and monthly goals and objectives for the Internet department, coordinating Internet promotions and advertising, and researching auto-buying services on the Internet. The Internet Manager will also update the website frequently to attract new and repeat visitors, explain and enforce dealership policies, ensure proper follow-up of all potential buyers, promote teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment, and build rapport with customers to establish a customer network.

Requirements

  • Prior automotive sales experience required.
  • Strong computer and phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, CRM).
  • Ability to coach, develop, and motivate sales staff.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on all Internet leads daily.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish a customer network.
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff on Phone & Internet skills.
  • Help manage inventory online and incentives.
  • Work with third-party vendors to generate and boost lead counts.
