About The Position

Tom Wood Ford in Indianapolis, IN is currently searching for an Internet Manager to join our team! The Internet Manager oversees all online sales leads, digital communications, and eCommerce processes within the dealership. This role ensures timely follow-up, effective online merchandising, and seamless coordination between the internet sales department and the showroom floor to maximize lead-to-sale conversion and overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in internet or BDC (Business Development Center) management within an automotive environment.
  • Strong CRM proficiency and understanding of digital lead sources.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable results.
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Required-valid driver s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Manage all inbound internet leads from dealership websites, OEM portals, third-party sources, and social platforms.
  • Maintain a consistent follow-up process using CRM tools (e.g., VinSolutions).
  • Set appointments and coordinate with the sales team to ensure leads are properly handled and closed.
  • Track, measure, and improve lead response times, contact ratios, appointment set/show rates, and sales conversions.
  • Handle outbound communication campaigns (email, phone, and text) to increase engagement and retention.
  • Ensure all online vehicle listings are accurate, attractive, and up to date (pricing, photos, descriptions, etc.).
  • Work with marketing to optimize online presence on dealership websites, third-party marketplaces, and social channels.
  • Ensure all online interactions reflect dealership values and provide a premium buying experience.
  • Follow up with customers post-purchase for satisfaction and online reputation management.
  • Manage online reviews and reputation through online platforms.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports including lead volume, response times, appointment metrics, and sales results.
  • Present actionable insights to management for continuous improvement.
