About The Position
Ron Tonkin Toyota — one of Portland’s leading automotive dealerships — is looking for an experienced, hands-on Internet Director to lead our digital sales operations. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sales Manager or 2+ years as an Internet Director
- 2+ years of experience with CDK and DriveCentric required
- Proven track record of internet sales team leadership and appointment-driven performance
- Strong understanding of automotive digital retail strategies and lead management
- Effective communicator with coaching and leadership experience
- Ability to motivate and train a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the internet/BDC department for Ron Tonkin Toyota
- Train and coach internet team members on phone skills, CRM best practices, and process execution
- Monitor and manage CRM systems (DriveCentric) and DMS (CDK) to ensure consistency and accountability
- Work closely with Sales Managers to coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and closing strategies
- Evaluate lead sources, conversion rates, and team productivity to continuously improve performance
- Collaborate with marketing on online advertising strategies and third-party lead providers
- Report on key performance metrics and execute improvements based on data
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of internet/BDC staff
