About The Position

The International Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with export/import regulations and managing all activities related to international trade. This role involves setting policies, coordinating compliance activities, and interfacing with various stakeholders to maintain regulatory standards in the transportation of goods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Trade/Logistics experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of international business practices, transportation laws, and customs requirements.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate collaborative processes and integrate business solutions globally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Broker license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage US Customs and Border Protection trade program participation (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, Importer Self Assessment Program, etc).
  • Interface with internal/external customers, foreign subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers, and carriers to ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations.
  • Maintain internal controls program to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
  • Participate in continual improvement processes related to the Compliance Program and manage document revisions of internal controls and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic export and import self-assessments (compliance audits) and implement any necessary corrective actions.
  • Manage Mubea's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) including NAFTA, USMCA, COO, etc.
  • Manage all international imports, including tracking, tracing, and final delivery.
  • Manage all international exports, including creating commercial invoices and all relevant documentation to forwarders and final consignees.
  • Manage Mubea's section 232 and 301 exclusion program, submitting post summary adjustments (PSA) and protests to US Customs when needed.
