About the position

Atlas International is seeking an International Transportation Coordinator to join the customer service team in Evansville, Indiana. The role involves booking transportation services, creating and sending accurate documentation, maintaining rate resources, and ensuring effective communication with all parties to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Book transportation services Ocean Freight, Container Drayage, Linehaul (Air Freight as needed) within vendor guidelines.
  • Create and send accurate documentation such as AWB, Master Bill of Lading, House Bill, Export Declaration by carriers (CBP), etc.
  • Research rate components, obtain rates, create/quote rates, and rework rates as needed.
  • Maintain and update rate resources and build positive relationships with external service providers.
  • Respond to all rate requests in a timely manner and confirm inbound rate tariff.
  • Invoice approval of services contracted.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties to resolve problems and issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure MoveWare system is updated with all pertinent dates, notes, and documentation.
  • Data analysis capabilities that optimize cost and service opportunities by various mode of transportation.
  • Coordinate for LTL and FTL for shipments moving in lift vans.
  • Handle linehaul on Inbound shipments that Port agents cannot haul.
  • Confirm pick-up/obtain carrier tracking number and notify Relocation Coordinator.
  • Work with LTL brokers to complete the linehaul portion of the military rate filing.
  • Coordinate linehaul transportation for Auto.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2-4 years of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Computer competency, specifically with Microsoft Office products such as Word Processing and Excel.
