About The Position

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for an International Trade Specialist to join our Demand Chain team in Kennesaw , GA. This role is responsible for managing all import shipments for the Parts Division, from departure at foreign ports to receipt at destination warehouses. Key responsibilities include overseeing the processing and coordination of the monthly ACH statement for U.S. Customs, which averages $8 million per month. The position handles an average of 125 shipments monthly, including 30-40 containers, with a total value ranging from $13 million to $16 million.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree or coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years in logistics and general accounting principles.
  • Position is ONSITE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • General accounting (AP) knowledge.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and sound decision-making ability.
  • Ability to interface professionally with all levels of management, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain follow-through on tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the logistics field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and assigning tariff numbers for imports in coordination with Compliance.
  • Preparing regulatory documentation (EPA, NHTSA, TOSCA, etc.) for shipments.
  • Verifying timely Importer Security Filing (ISF) for parts shipments, including corrections and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with the SCM group for purchase order resolution, critical for timely manifest processing.
  • Working with SCM and YMC GPC to obtain material and part function details as needed.
  • Tracking, tracing, and monitoring shipments through delivery to warehouses, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Analyzing data and preparing reports, including weekly ocean status reports for management.
  • Processing and auditing broker invoices, researching discrepancies, and preparing ACH payment allocation statements for timely duty payments to U.S. Customs. This includes managing 5 brokers' weekly/monthly statements, 110-150 invoices, totaling $700,000-$14,000,000.
  • Ensuring compliance with Yamaha's Procurement Policy and all applicable procedures.
