About The Position

The International Trade Compliance Director at Gulfstream is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in International Trade Compliance (ITC) within the Legal Department. This role involves overseeing global import/export regulations, ITAR/EAR compliance, and other applicable laws. The director will lead initiatives to enhance compliance, capture opportunities, and ensure operational efficiency in trade compliance activities. The position requires strong leadership skills to influence the organization and develop strategic directions for the ITC program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
• 8 years of international trade compliance experience, including 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Master's or Law Degree preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of customs, export controls, sanctions, ITAR, and related laws.
• Familiarity with GTS and digitization opportunities for compliance.
• Understanding of manufacturing environments and applicable FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive global trade risk assessment and identify opportunities for compliance.
• Lead the implementation of initiatives and measurable process improvements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on International Trade Compliance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for international trade compliance.
• Manage all licenses, protests, disclosures, and filings related to trade compliance.
• Act as the primary contact with governmental authorities regarding trade compliance.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to ensure continuity with ITC systems and policies.
• Ensure compliant operation of special trade programs and supply chain security programs.
• Deliver international trade compliance training for company employees.
• Conduct internal assessments, audits, and investigations on trade compliance issues.
• Manage the department budget and develop the ITC team.
