The Chief Operations Office (COO) is leading the integration of ING into this new era of the financial services industry. COO brings together many disciplines which means that as a trainee you will be working at the intersection of digitalization, client servicing and data management. You will also play a crucial role in keeping ING and the proprietary information that our customers entrust with us safe and secure. This role demands talented people that can drive process optimization/standardization, consider changes needed from end-to-end and maneuver effectively between an operational environment and the board room.

  • Participate in three rotations over two years, focusing on different aspects of operations and change management.
  • Engage in dynamic projects aimed at improving operational excellence and customer service.
  • Drive process optimization and standardization initiatives.
  • Network and arrange second and third rotations based on personal interests and career goals.
  • Work closely with HR trainee manager and line managers for coaching and mentorship.
  • Participate in Global Trainee events and virtual trainee days to enhance professional skills.
  • Holds a degree preferably in Operations Management, Business Information Management, Change Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and/or Risk Management.
  • Has an interest in financial services and an innovative take on process management.
  • Is data- and process-driven with a strong drive to achieve efficiency, optimization, and standardization.
  • Possesses excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across varying seniority levels.
  • Is a self-starter and innovator who stays ahead of industry changes and regulatory developments.
