The International Student Support & Outreach Coordinator will provide support, guidance, and advocacy for incoming and current international students to ensure student's well-being, sense of belonging, and student success. This position is key to the success of international students by supporting their transition to Northwest Missouri State University, and their integration within the community. The International Student Support & Outreach Coordinator will work directly with graduate and undergraduate students from orientation to graduation, planning educational and social programming, supporting cultural student organization activities. This position will seek opportunities to work with professional staff, who interact with international students and function as a primary liaison to departments including but not limited to housing, health services, dining services, academic advising, student success, community agencies, and international student support services. This position supports the University's effort to cultivate an inclusive culture for international students by increasing awareness in the community of topics that impact international students.
