The International Student Program Coordinator serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) responsible for managing the international student experience at SCAD. This role involves coordinating pre-arrival sessions, orientation planning, and communication with the international admissions team. The coordinator will also update marketing materials, manage check-in processes, and support various activities for international students, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the university community.

  • Create all initial I-20s for international students.
  • Communicate daily with the international admission team for updates.
  • Organize pre-arrival sessions for incoming students.
  • Create and disseminate SCADbound emails.
  • Answer arrival questions and manage check-in forms.
  • Update marketing materials for the International Student Services Office (ISSO).
  • Host drop-in arrival Q&A sessions.
  • Organize airport shuttle requests and complete pre-F1 forms.
  • Verify all check-in materials during the new F-1 check-in process.
  • Track new students who haven't checked-in at the mandatory international student orientation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Fulbright and Davis UWC Scholar students.
  • Develop recruitment strategies for the ESL program.
  • Coordinate and organize winter break activities.
  • Support ISSO advisers during the ISSO CAPP program.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least one year as a Designated School Official (DSO) or comparable international education knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of F-1 student visa regulations and DHS branches, such as SEVP, U.S. consular services, and CBP.
  • Experience designing and implementing events and workshops.
  • Bilingual or polylingual.
  • Experience with Banner, Terra Dotta, Salesforce, and ApplicationXtender.
