Entry level, International Sourcing Specialist
About The Position
International Sourcing Specialist (Entry-Level) – Bedford, NH Local Candidates Only Eastern Industrial Automation, an international distributor of bearings, power transmission, motion control products, pneumatics, and services, is seeking an entry-level International Sourcing Specialist to join our growing team. This position will be based out of our Bedford, NH office and will support both import and export business, particularly for the OEM marketplace. Founded in 1963, Eastern Industrial Automation has 11 sales offices across New England and two offices in Shanghai, China.
Requirements
- A self-starting, flexible, and adaptable mindset with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A desire to learn quickly about the mechanical and electrical products we distribute
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior knowledge of distributor sales (preferred, but not required)
Responsibilities
- Support international customer service demands
- Source components within the U.S. for export and throughout Asia for import
- Negotiate pricing when required
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Expedite and procure orders to meet customer production timelines
- Consistently develop new sourcing capabilities through supplier networking
- Assist with OEM project coordination by managing Bills of Material (B.O.M.s) and providing critical information such as pricing, lead times, and technical specifications
- Provide technical support for new and existing projects by applying knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical components and manufacturing practices
