Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field.
  • No experience is required for SSP IA.
  • One year of experience in professional Student Services work at the entry trainee level for SSP IB.
  • Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field for SSP II.
  • A Master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for the required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of the basic principles of individual and group behavior.
  • Working knowledge of research and observation techniques.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data.
  • Ability to reason logically and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct school site outreach activities to support enrollment goals.
  • Assist with implementing plans of action and activities related to outreach and recruitment of prospective international first-time freshman and transfer students.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Admissions, Tseng College Intensive English Program (IEP), International and Exchange Student Center (IESC), and academic colleges on campus.
  • Provide information and support to prospective international students.
  • Compile recruitment data and prepare reports.
  • Participate on committees both on and off campus.
  • Serve as a liaison to faculty and staff on international students' recruitment and admissions issues.
