About The Position

We are currently looking for an International Operations and Customer Service Agent. The primary duties include providing exceptional service to our customers and working through our vendors to make our promises happen! This involves everything in the entire process of both domestic and international freight forwarding including accurate quoting, arranging, routing, tracking, costing and rating shipments. We might be a good fit if you enjoy: Providing superior service to all our clients. This includes communicating with our customers on the phone and via email, following up to make sure they receive what they expect, and making our customers feel good about working with us. Working in a very fast paced environment. It’s not as crazy as an emergency room but things do get hectic! Our loyal customers appreciate our sense of urgency and our aggressiveness towards making sure their shipments are handled properly. Working in ALL areas of the freight forwarding process and not just one cog in the machine. Working with others on a team to accomplish a shared goal. Not knowing exactly what every day will hold. Acting as if you own the company – taking initiative and ownership, having a sense of urgency, making decisions, being proactive, and working with others to constantly make things better. Making sure our customers are never caught off guard.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service with the desire to serve our clients in the best possible manner.
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in international freight forwarding (preferably over 3 years in both import and export as well as both air and ocean).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can both follow procedures and think outside the box.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Solid math skills.
  • Comfortable with change and working in unknown situations.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt as needed.
  • Independent and able to collaborate and be a team player.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Productive and able to aggressively pursue the best options for both our vendors and customers.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Passionate and self-driven.
  • Positive outlook and a willingness to buy in to what the team is trying to accomplish.
