The International Operations Agent II at AIT Worldwide Logistics is responsible for coordinating the import of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the USA. This role emphasizes operational excellence and delivering a world-class customer service experience, ensuring that all customer requests are met efficiently and accurately.

  • Receive and validate customer order including documentation and compliance checks.
  • Identify best routing and transit options per customer requests and standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Anticipate and secure quotations from vendors/agents for potential order costs.
  • Issue customer or overseas office/agent quotations and confirm acceptance.
  • Receive and validate customer documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Track and confirm flight arrivals and update system milestones accordingly.
  • Issue Arrival Notices and distribute them as per customer requirements.
  • Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractors if applicable and track shipment arrivals to final destinations.
  • Obtain Pick Up numbers from carriers and forward them to relevant parties as needed.
  • Confirm timely delivery and release of cargo, updating system milestones accordingly.
  • Accrue all costs in CargoWise and perform initial profitability checks.
  • Confirm final costs and ensure all are accrued before issuing invoices to customers or overseas offices.
  • Manage customer reporting and additional system milestones as required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of freight forwarding experience preferred.
  • IATA Certification is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components and relationships.
  • Dangerous Goods Certification preferred.
  • Certified CargoWise Specialist (CCO) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of CargoWise and freight movement.
  • Intermediate knowledge of country regulations and AIT policies.
