The International Freight Analyst will be responsible for analyzing international freight data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, creating shipping schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery of international shipments. In this role, you will utilize data analysis techniques to uncover insights and trends in international freight data. You will verify all confirmed bookings for accuracy, including lead time targets, and report and manage exceptions. Monitoring the full shipment lifecycle and addressing any delays or disruptions promptly will be crucial. You will also coordinate any in-market rejections or returns, such as re-importing previously exported containers. Communication is key in this position; you will interact with brokers, forwarders, external vendors, and customers to establish freight lanes, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will provide support to Sales, Customer Service, operations, and warehousing as it relates to international freight. Collaborating with internal teams to create freight metrics, forecast shipping needs, and plan logistics accordingly will be part of your responsibilities. You will prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and liaise with procurement on shipping line priorities, issues, updates, and industry intelligence, applying this knowledge to our day-to-day requirements. Developing strategies to optimize freight costs and improve efficiency in the supply chain while staying up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to international freight will be essential for your success in this role.
