About The Position

The International Flight Operations Coordinator at Lockheed Martin is a pivotal role within the Flight Operations team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight operations related to post-production acceptance flying for fighter aircraft. This position, while non-flying, offers the potential for future flying opportunities. The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for international production flight operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and effective coordination among various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Suitable FAA Commercial Pilot's Certificate (SE Land, Instrument Airplane).
  • 1,000 hours first-pilot time in a tactical aircraft.
  • Willingness to travel and possess a valid U.S. passport.

Nice To Haves

  • F-35 or F-16 test, operational, or training experience.
  • Knowledge of Lockheed Martin fighter systems.
  • USN or USAF Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) experience.
  • Current FAA Class I or II medical certificate.
  • Knowledge of information science and/or data science methodologies for producing organizational metrics.
  • Proficiency in using electronic databases.
  • Experience leading small teams in an elevated stress environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of flight operations in support of post-production acceptance flying at all Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) locations, both domestic and international.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of all Flight Operations personnel related to international and domestic production operations.
  • Function as the primary liaison with internal and external entities on issues affecting flight operations planning and execution.
  • Develop overall detachment plans to support international or domestic production flight operations.
  • Oversee various types of flight operations including Acceptance Check Flights, Operational Check Flights, and Delivery Flights.
  • Advise management on Flight Operations aircrew support and requirements for international and domestic operations.
  • Author and manage the Flight Operations Site Supplements and Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, company, and program requirements for production flight operations.
  • Identify and report findings, proposals, and opportunities affecting international production acceptance operations.
  • Coordinate and manage all annual or regularly scheduled international production flight operations inspections.
  • Train and qualify Detachment Coordinators (DetCo).
  • Act as on-site Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and Operations Duty Officer (ODO).
  • Act as on-site LM Flight Operations Mishap Coordinator.
