About The Position

The Brown University Division of Advancement seeks qualified applicants for the position of International Advancement Associate. This position provides advanced administrative support for two Regional Directors in International Advancement (IA) in order to help build a strong and supportive community of international alumni, parents and friends at Brown University. This position will handle most administrative duties, which include but are not limited to: meeting/travel arrangements, database maintenance, correspondence and briefings, research, and event support. This position is also responsible for most information technology tasks and functions in support of the directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field such as alumni relations, fundraising, higher education, nonprofits, sales, customer service, development, etc.
  • Proficient with audio/visual and presentation platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams or WebEx, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Expertise in Microsoft and Google platforms, especially Google Calendar and email, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and project/time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply tact and maintain confidentiality.
  • Customer-focused with a strong customer service orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of BSR Advance and Blackbaud preferred.
  • Knowledge of or interest in international affairs preferred.
