About The Position

In this multifaceted role, you will assist with internal sales efforts for Principal Securities by developing and implementing sales plans, activity reports, and rotation schedules. You’ll collaborate with marketing, product, and communications teams to align campaigns and support financial professional relationships while meeting internal sales targets. Key responsibilities include providing intermediaries with sales ideas, handling product inquiries, sharing performance data, identifying new opportunities, and supporting external wholesalers with territory management. Initiate and follow up on sales calls to develop relationships with financial professionals, representing a diverse range of products including Mutual Funds, model portfolios, ETFs, SMAs, Index Funds, alternative investments, and retirement solutions. Determine client requirements and offer sales suggestions, respond to product inquiries, deliver performance information, and introduce new products. Record call outcomes in the database, share leads with external wholesalers, and assist corporate programs, important accounts, and conferences. Respond to incoming calls from new or existing financial professionals by offering product details and performance statistics. Handle requests for prospectuses and sales materials. Guide financial professionals to resources like websites and newsletters. Support communication for enhanced customer service solutions and record call outcomes. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned. Heavy incentive component in addition to salary listed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience plus 1+ year of industry-related experience is necessary. Strong preference for financial services and qualified plan experience.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical calculation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Availability to handle inbound and outbound calls to advisors, third-party administrators, and sales reps during prime hours.
  • Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
  • Licenses must be held in conformity with state and federal rules and company standards as detailed in the existing licensing policy.
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (to be acquired within 90 days after hiring)
