About The Position

Appian is looking for an Associate Application Engineer (Internal Technical Consultant) to develop large-scale, internal applications that support Appian employees around the world. In this role, you will become an expert on our software, working directly with internal stakeholders throughout the entire life-cycle of projects to define, design, and implement business process based solutions. This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies like AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for AI-driven innovation.
  • Professional English proficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and customer management skills (verbal/written).

Responsibilities

  • Leverage experience in a range of critical process improvement disciplines, including business process management, knowledge management, personalization, business intelligence, and application integration on the Appian platform.
  • Utilize a varied skill set and experience to construct, implement, and deploy process-centric business process management solutions based on Appian software.
  • Analyze a client’s business strategy, their business processes, and develop technical solutions to support their business strategy.
  • Design prototypes, model business processes, and analyze requirements.
  • Implement quality assurance plans, load testing and roll-out plans.
  • Triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications.
