About The Position
The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Internal Security Investigator I for the Chicago Read Mental Health Center located in Chicago, Illinois to conduct responsible and confidential investigative work into routine violations of health care statutes. Gathers data and evidence, interviews staff, receives reports and analyzes relevant evidence concerning cases under investigation. Completes investigations by conducting interviews, preparing reports, summarizing investigative activities, and recommending conclusions. Maintains reasonable availability at the Center to begin investigations and secure the crime scene. Serves as liaison with the Department's Office of Inspector General (OIG), Illinois State Police (ISP) and other law enforcement agencies regarding ongoing investigations. Trains Center staff in investigative techniques and other related topics.
