About The Position

The Internal Sales Consultant Intern at Janus Henderson Investors is a summer internship designed for full-time students interested in the mutual fund and financial services industry. The role focuses on supporting the sales team by responding to client needs, generating communications, maintaining databases, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Requirements

• Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of the internship.
• Passion for the mutual fund/financial services industry.
• Ability to provide own local accommodations and transportation.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High degree of self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Incoming juniors and seniors highly preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of mutual fund/financial industry products and services.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client needs and requests.
• Utilize information provided by the sales team to develop business opportunities.
• Follow up with the Sales Team in a timely manner.
• Generate client mailings and e-mails related to company products and thought leadership information.
• Maintain departmental databases and client mailing lists, ensuring updated information.
• Support departmental sales goals and territorial objectives by working closely with Internal Sales Consultants and Regional Sales Directors.
• Perform a variety of administrative activities including coordinating client meetings, generating sales reports, and ordering literature materials as required.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
