Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital setting
  • Full-time with flexible availability.
  • Able to multi-tasking in a busy environment
  • Able to provide excellent client service
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Team oriented
  • Dependable attendance is required.
  • Any allergies to animals must be controllable through medication.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions.
  • This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-10 hour day.

Responsibilities

  • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Anesthesia monitoring and recover
  • Set up and assist with procedures
  • Appointment management: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoice and patient discharge, prepare and dispense prescriptions, and educate clients.
