The Internal Medicine Physician will provide medical care to adults, including examining, diagnosing, preventing, and treating illness, disease, and injury. The physician will examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status, analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination to diagnose the medical condition of the patient, prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, and/or vaccination. The physician will explain diagnosis, procedures, and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patients and advise patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. The physician will collaborate with other physicians and mid-level providers. The physician will participate in medical and interdisciplinary clinical committees. The physician may participate as a preceptor for medical and nurse practitioner students. The physician will perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs and demands.
