Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated, Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Internal Medicine Physician with a strong interest or fellowship training in Geriatrics to join our Baylor Scott & White Dallas, Texas clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate physician to provide specialized, high-quality care to older adult patients within an integrated healthcare system that values excellence, innovation, and a team-based approach.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO)
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • Board-certified or actively pursuing board certification in Internal Medicine (American Board of Medical Specialties or Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists)

Nice To Haves

  • Geriatric fellowship training or extensive experience in the care of older adults is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and primary care for high-risk adult and elderly patients.
  • Manage chronic diseases common in older adults (e.g., dementia, heart failure, osteoporosis, diabetes, polypharmacy).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including physician assistant/nurse practitioners, social workers, pharmacists, physical therapists, and specialists in palliative and behavioral health.
  • Ability to build relationships with practicing physicians and offer consultation on patient eligibility to join geriatric panel.
  • Promote functional independence and quality of life through individualized care planning.
  • Participate in quality improvement and utilization initiatives specific to geriatric populations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational protocols.
