About The Position

BJC Medical Group seeks a board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at our new practice in St. Peters, Missouri. The position offers a brand new suite with endocrinology also in the building, and a large geriatric population in the area, allowing for quick patient panel building. There is no after-hours call, and the typical work week is four and a half days with 36 patient contact hours. The role involves team-based care, working closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and supported by a dedicated Medical Assistant. Mentorship is available from a variety of experienced physicians, and there is easy access to specialists on the hospital campus. Both practicing physicians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, but visa candidates cannot be considered.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Medicine.
• Board eligible or licensed physician.
• Less than 2 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging for inpatient hospital care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes.
• Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient's medical record.
• Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage.
• Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers and support staff in the care of the patient panel.
