About The Position

The Wright Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Physician with a strong interest in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan and has a passion for supporting children and families experiencing developmental, behavioral, learning, and complex medical needs. This position offers the opportunity to practice primary care with a developmental focus, participate in coordinated developmental evaluations, and collaborate closely with specialists, therapists, educators, and family support services.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency program.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in developmental and behavioral pediatrics (formal fellowship is welcome but not required).
  • Eligible for medical licensure in [State].
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and family-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Conduct developmental and behavioral evaluations, including assessment of developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Create individualized care plans in partnership with families and interdisciplinary providers.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, and educational services.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and care coordination programs.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to patients, families, caregivers, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Optional involvement in teaching learners (medical students, residents, fellows) depending on interest.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care pathways.
