About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient medical care within a small, collaborative facility focused on rehabilitation and recovery. This is an excellent opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while enjoying a predictable schedule and supportive environment. Summary: Monday–Friday schedule with a “round and go” model for efficiency and work-life balance Provide inpatient medical rounding for rehabilitation-focused patients Manage and coordinate care for Internal Medicine and post-acute rehab patients Work closely with interdisciplinary teams (therapy, nursing, case management) to support patient recovery goals Opportunity to develop longitudinal relationships with patients throughout their recovery journey Smaller facility setting Potential for Medical Directorship
Requirements
- MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active or eligible California medical license
- Experience in hospitalist, post-acute, or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform daily rounds on assigned inpatient census
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Collaborate with rehab teams to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
- Ensure timely documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide clinical leadership and support to facility staff as needed
