About The Position

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, affiliated with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in Wilmington, North Carolina, is recruiting for an outstanding full-time, non-tenured track faculty member to be part of our dynamic team.

Requirements

• ABIM Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine
• Eligible for licensure in the state of NC
• Interest/experience in scholarly efforts (QI/LEAN or research)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Passion for education
• Interest in teaching in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, typically 2/3:1/3 inpatient: outpatient
• Have a private half day clinic embedded within the resident clinic
• Mentor both residents and medical students
• Teach and core curriculum lectures
• Demonstrate dedication to Residency education and be a role model of professionalism
• One weekend per four-week block
• Overnight phone coverage call 1 in 7
