We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing Internal Medicine department! Our I.M. team members understand body systems and the disease process, learn advanced diagnostic testing, provide excellent patient care, and treat patients with cutting-edge techniques. The responsibilities of the Technicians and Veterinary Assistants within the department are to provide support to the Internists and to be part of a collaborative environment to provide thorough patient care, playing a crucial role in client communication as well as assisting in procedures such as endoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, bone marrows and more! Our Technicians are a vital reason we can help patients feel better and why pet parents feel a little more at ease because their family members are being cared for with great medicine and warm hearts. As an integral part of our team, you will work closely with Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, and other staff members. Compensation : Credentialed Veterinary Technicians : $ 29.50 - $ 35.00 / hr ALL dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule and additional responsibilities. Requirements

  • Must have current and valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners.
  • Knowledge and experience with handling and administering different drugs and following safety protocols.
  • An active interest and desire to learn about advanced disease processes and specialty care/practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and advocating for patient well-being.
  • Proficiency in monitoring anesthesia, radiography, venipuncture, effective patient monitoring, and medication administration.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with clients.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with doctors and team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding anesthesia concerns and patient status.

  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Assisting our Doctor and Technical staff as needed with patient care
  • Maintain a clean work environment to maintain any infectious disease protocols, handle medical/biomedical and infectious waste appropriately
  • Maintain inventory and supplies for procedures and patient husbandry.
