About The Position
The Internal Investigator 1 Justice Center will perform various duties including conducting pre-adjudication investigations, assisting other investigators, and tracing, interviewing, and subpoenaing witnesses, victims, and suspects in civil cases. The role involves obtaining statements, documents, and related evidence for use in court, as well as investigating a wide variety of civil complaints such as allegations of abuse and/or neglect, financial and death investigations. The investigator will examine court, public, and governmental records needed for investigations, prepare evidence for trial, and assist in the investigation of criminal offenses. Additionally, the position requires writing narrative reports to communicate investigation results, coordinating witness appearances at adjudication proceedings, testifying in these proceedings, and serving civil process documents. The investigator will also operate various investigative equipment and respond to incident scenes to collect evidence and interview witnesses, victims, or subjects.
