The Food Execution Manager plays a critical role in bringing Maverik's food programs to life by fostering a strong 1Maverik culture between the food service team and operations. This role ensures consistent training, operational excellence, and food safety execution across stores by providing hands-on coaching, supporting new store openings and remodels, and partnering closely with operations to drive compliance and continuous improvement. Why this role matters This role directly impacts food safety, operational consistency, sales performance, and the overall guest experience by ensuring Maverik's food programs and initiatives are executed safely, effectively, and consistently across all locations. Location/Schedule This role must be located in the Reno Nevada area and includes extensive overnight and daily travel to support store operations, new store openings, and remodels across the field. Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities The Food Execution Manager leads the execution of Maverik's food programs by coaching store teams, partnering with operations, and ensuring food safety, training, and merchandising standards are consistently met.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in foodservice, food safety, food handling, or a related operational role.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation standards and safe, sanitary food handling principles and regulations.
  • Experience using business and operational tools such as Excel, Windows-based systems, POS, QSR platforms, or similar technology.
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and influence store teams and leaders through clear communication, public speaking, and relationship-building.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, field-facing role that supports a 24/7 operation, including occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday needs.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight travel, to support business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field (associate degree also considered).
  • Experience supporting new store openings, remodels, or large-scale program rollouts.
  • Prior experience developing, managing, or enforcing food safety programs across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a strong 1Maverik culture between the food service team and operations to ensure consistent program training and execution.
  • Develop, administer, and maintain food safety programs, policies, and standard operating procedures for Maverik Foodservice, BonFire™ Grill, and Cinnabon.
  • Conduct regular store visits to provide coaching and guidance to food service teams, store leadership, and District Managers based on observed opportunities.
  • Partner with operations to verify planograms, signage, and ordering levels are implemented accurately and consistently.
  • Support new store openings and remodels through hands-on training and foodservice area setup.
  • Participate in district-level meetings to address food execution, safety, and operational performance.
  • Support the launch and implementation of new food initiatives, including rollout of new training materials.
  • Ensure foodservice policies and procedures are followed to maximize sales and productivity while managing waste and maintaining food safety standards.
  • Provide coaching and training on the Kitchen Production System (KPS).
