About The Position

The Internal Education Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the growth and success of both new and existing employees by designing and delivering thoughtfully developed learning materials and training programs, whether online or in person. This position requires strong product knowledge and hands-on experience, along with a genuine passion for teaching and supporting team members in expanding their skills and expertise. The ideal candidate is adept at creating high-quality, engaging course materials, and leveraging a wide range of tools and resources to deliver best-in-class training experiences.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of prior knowledge and experience in adult learning and education; previous learning and development, or HR work experience.
  • Exceptional skills regarding written and verbal communication, organization, and time management
  • Exceptional knowledge, understanding, and experience with accounting and job costing concepts and functions.
  • Proficient with a variety of software application packages relating to the creation of various forms of content and communication, including but not limited to: Microsoft 365 applications, Microsoft Power Platform, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Strong skills in technology and ability to learn new systems and applications quickly.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Prior experience utilizing Learning Management Systems
  • Prior experience creating educational materials in various forms, including but not limited to, text, graphics, audio, and video.

Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive and engaging educational content across multiple formats, including text, graphics, audio, and video.
  • Provide training focusing on (but not limited to), the following areas: Specific company product lines, customer service, internal systems, and applications.
  • Provide additional training focusing on soft skills, including (but not limited to): Communication, client relations, organization, time management, problem solving, adaptability, record keeping, and proper management of difficult situations.
  • Conduct training using a variety of methods, including but not limited to virtual, in person, group, one-on-one, and simulations.
  • Remain up to date on new features, improvements, and changes regarding our product suite and develop and deliver content, courses, and/or classes for continuing education to ensure that operation teams are up to date on all current offerings and encourage professional development.
  • Create and maintain training curriculum for all training methods, including but not limited to written documents, graphics, videos, simulations, and assessments.
  • Regularly evaluate training needs based on management input and program feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams to foster trust and confidence between departments.
  • Manage coordination and event planning for internal and external learning programs and activities: Efficiently manage scheduling, coordinate training, and event spaces, and prepare materials to ensure smooth execution of learning programs.
  • Manage onboarding tasks including but not limited to: Partnering with Human Resources Team, End User Computing Team, and Hiring Managers to facilitate a seamless transition from candidate to employee by managing pre-start communications with new hires and managers, conducting day-one and subsequent onboarding activities, conducting pre-determined check-ins, ordering materials, and consistently evaluating processes to enhance the new hire experience.
  • Support Learning Management System (LMS) operations by creating, uploading, and maintaining content, conducting regular audits, and recommending enhancements to improve the user interface and experience.
  • Monitor LMS learning mailbox: Respond to trainee inquiries or forward them to appropriate team members, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to reinforce proper procedures and standards are being met.
  • Properly document trainee performance opportunities and communicate to management team, as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with peers and other departments to discuss goals, issues, concerns, and opportunities.
  • Work with management team to identify and communicate challenges, obstacles, and areas of growth within the products, team, departments, and business.
  • Monitor LMS metrics to ensure course goals are being met by participants.
