There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
At USAA, we are dedicated to facilitating the financial security of millions of U.S. military members and their families. We are currently seeking an Internal Controls Financial Reporting (ICFR) Advisor to join our team. This role is crucial in executing management's financial reporting and SOX control testing and evaluation program, particularly for shared service process areas that support our bank and insurance entities. The position offers a flexible work environment, requiring in-office attendance four days a week, and can be based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position. As an ICFR Advisor, you will manage various initiatives on behalf of the ICFR Program Management Office (PMO) to support ICFR-related initiatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and mapping business processes to significant accounts, coordinating and facilitating walkthrough sessions, conducting re-testing activities, and supporting the process owner attestation process. You will also assist in documenting evaluation results that support final ICFR effectiveness decisions. Additionally, you will coordinate annual ICFR walkthrough activities, develop documentation for these walkthroughs, and advise USAA management on ICFR effectiveness and best practices through regular meetings. Your role will involve partnering with BCM control partners to identify and evaluate ICFR controls and issues, documenting the results of overall ICFR control tests, and conducting root cause analysis in line with ICFR Program methodologies. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve and strengthen the ICFR control environment, providing guidance and recommendations to BCM partners and assisting with ICFR training activities. As a resource for less experienced team members, you will help them complete ICFR Program deliverables while ensuring that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures.
