About The Position

The Internal Communications Lead plays an important role in helping both internal and external customers understand, visualize, and connect with the company vision and culture, enabling performance, fostering transparency, and building connections. The ideal candidate will be able to write polished, compelling content in a fast-paced environment, with a keen awareness of the audience, cultural alignment, and purpose.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, English, or other related field, preferred
  • 5+ years of related marketing, internal brand campaigns, communication,s and/or employee engagement experience
  • Demonstrated passion for communications, with a strong commitment to crafting clear, engaging, and impactful messaging that supports organizational goals
  • Strong skills in storytelling, inclusive language, and campaign planning
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with confidential materials and quickly build trust among key stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive mindset with a problem solver “can-do” attitude
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), in addition to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong skills with visual tools like PowerPoint and/or Canva
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Culture & Vision Communication Reinforce the company’s purpose, vision, and culture through consistent, inspiring, and inclusive messaging
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to amplify cultural initiatives and ensure messaging resonates globally
  • Monitor cultural awareness and sentiment through cultural assessments (i.e. Every Voice Matters assessment) and feedback loops
  • Performance Enablement Messaging Translate and synthesize strategic objectives and business context into clear, actionable messages that motivate team members and align them with business priorities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure clarity and consistency in performance-related communications
  • Use data storytelling to demonstrate progress toward goals and celebrate achievements across divisions and product lines
  • Leader Engagement Prepare authentic, transparent messages for executives and senior leaders, ensuring tone and delivery build trust
  • Coach leaders on communication best practices and design formats for town halls, video messages, and listening sessions
  • Elevate Standard Communication Tools Manage the monthly creation, translation, and distribution of the company newsletter; design a curated, intentional content strategy addressing the voice of internal customer s and business need; source stories and develop creative content to illustrate and bring to life company culture and values, along with highlighting People and Culture efforts
  • Support the creation, updating and placement of content on the Afinitas intranet site to ensure a simple, clean and engaging experience for team members and leaders
  • Support the creation of internal communication guidelines for organizational changes and company announcements, ensuring communication best practices are utilized.
  • Partner with People and IT teams to ensure Brite Sign technology is utilized as a tool to provide branded and timely dissemination of internal communication, creating templates for site-focused content, and acting as corporate administrator of the software.
  • Maintain awareness of written/visual communication best practices and ensure development of skillset to implement them when appropriate
