About The Position

The Internal Accounts Operations Lead is a senior position that reports to the Head of Liquidity Management Services (LMS) Internal & Core Account Operations Head within the Services business. This role is a dedicated POC overseeing the internal accounts lifecycle in support of Product Lines and coordinating with Operations functions (including Client Onboarding, Payments, Trade, LMS, Investor, Issuer). Responsibilities: Represent Operations and ensure Ops Readiness as Internal Accounts matures as a product Partner with Product and Ops Champions (including Client On-Boarding and Recon Ops) in ensuring compliance to minimum control standards with defined roles and responsibilities Represent Ops in Product defined governance model and define TOM leveraging data analytics Spearhead Ops Readiness including coordinating highly federated Ops network (Bank Network Mgmt./ARA/SMB Account Gov) SPOC with Ops Readiness (in Line) for Product Initiatives impacting Internal Accounts inc. various transformation initiatives (i.e. BCOSMOs, Strategic Ledger, other US Transformation) SPOC for Internal Accounts with Product Leadership SPOC for Accounting, Ledger & Close Policy (Ops impacts) Minimum Standards for Internal Account Reconciliations Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., Product Accounting teams, Product Processors, Onboarding, Finance, Technology, Risk & Controls, other Lines of Business (LOBs) across Citi to define the types/taxonomy of internal accounts, distinct features, capabilities, financial and operational processes, Service Level Agreements, policies and overall value propositions for the internal accounts lifecycle and ecosystem This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Requirements

  • 20+ years of relevant experience with a solid understanding with client/DDA and internal accounts
  • Broad and diverse functional experience (e.g., Product Management, Finance, Operations, Data Analytics)
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and product transformation initiatives around the world along with a strong background in agile delivery
  • Demonstrated financial and accounting acumen
  • Strong background in managing a product risk & controls environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication and strong executive presence
  • Strong people and cross-functional leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in legal entity management, regulatory reporting and data governance/management concepts is highly desirable
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Accounting degree is a plus
