About The Position

Last summer, we had a great program, where we were able to empower the students on a group project (bringing an HBCU presence to Boston) and allowing them time to shadow each employee. Further, we work individually with each students' interests and skills to place them with someone who can foster skill- and knowledge-building.

Requirements

  • Interest in communications and/or public policy.
  • Willingness to interact with residents/public.
  • Must be able to do small physical tasks (moving a chair) as needed.
  • Must be willing (and have physical stamina) to go for walks in the district once a week.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with organizing youth and senior events
  • Taking in-district neighborhood walks to proactively find issues of concern to fix.
  • Assisting with social media and other communications.
  • Assisting with intake of constituent requests.
