We're beginning the process of connecting with candidates for our Summer 2026 internship program. Our offices are located across California, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, with opportunities for interns to work onsite or remotely. We're committed to offering a flexible, meaningful experience. We're looking for students studying engineering, planning, construction management, environmental science, surveying, data analytics, or a related field to join our 2026 cohort. As an intern, you'll have the chance to contribute to projects, receive dedicated mentorship, connect with fellow interns, and participate in valuable learning experiences. Parametrix typically welcomes a class of interns across multiple offices and divisions, including Community Building, Mobility & Data Technologies, Advisory Services, Transportation, and Water. We aim to create a collaborative cohort environment where you can expand your network and gain insights beyond your specific role.

Requirements

  • A major focused in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Structural), Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Planning, Science, Surveying, or a related field.
  • An interest in gaining experience with real-world projects.
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to work as part of a team.
  • A willingness to contribute to multiple projects, clients, and teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • At Parametrix, interns will gain hands-on experience working alongside engineers, scientists, planners, and other professionals on real projects that make a difference in our communities.
  • Depending on your background and interests, you may assist with the planning and design of community and infrastructure projects, support project coordination and data analysis, participate in fieldwork, and contribute ideas that enhance innovation and process improvement.
