About The Position
NC MedAssist is excited to offer unpaid internship opportunities for motivated individuals across a variety of academic disciplines. This general application is open to all students interested in gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a mission-driven, nonprofit healthcare setting. As a free pharmacy dedicated to improving access to medications for uninsured and underserved populations, NC MedAssist provides interns with a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing real-world skills. Interns will gain valuable experience working within a nonprofit organization, supporting daily operations, and contributing to programs that directly serve our community. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to, public health, healthcare operations, pharmacy services, communications, nonprofit management, data analysis, and community outreach. After submitting your application, our team will review your information and reach out to qualified candidates to begin the interview process. Selected interns will be paired with a dedicated preceptor who will provide mentorship, guidance, and support throughout the internship experience. This internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about service, interested in nonprofit or healthcare careers, and eager to gain meaningful, resume-building experience while supporting their community
