About the position

The Vendor Management Intern will support the Vendor Management team by inventorying, reviewing, and creating processes based on benchmark data and best practices. This role involves collaborating with the VM team and external experts to enhance vendor management practices and improve efficiencies within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the VM lifecycle and inventory existing standard operating procedures.
  • Review VM dashboards and provide recommendations for improvement based on stakeholder interviews.
  • Implement a plan to transition the VM team from Outlook to a vendor management dashboard.

Requirements

  • Currently a full-time student pursuing a BA/BS in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or other Operations related field.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, tactical and strategic planning and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Understanding of vendor management or purchasing platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, Scout.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of software, SaaS, PaaS, and hardware licensing.
