About The Position

Join Lumen’s Enterprise UX Design & Research Team as a User Experience Research Intern. You’ll work alongside experienced researchers to learn how we plan, conduct, and analyze user research that helps shape intuitive and impactful digital experiences. This internship is a great opportunity to explore the field of UX research, build foundational skills, and contribute to real projects that improve how users interact with our products.

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship
• Graduating August 2026 – May 2028
• Curious about how people interact with technology
• Interested in learning how research improves user experiences
• Comfortable asking questions and eager to grow your skills
• A good communicator and team player
• Familiar with basic UX concepts (through coursework, bootcamps, or self-study)
• Some exposure to UX research methods (e.g., through class projects or personal exploration)
• Experience with tools like Figma, Miro, or survey platforms is a plus—but not required

Responsibilities

• Support research activities across Lumen’s Product & Marketing teams
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to understand how research informs design decisions
• Assist in conducting user research—including surveys, interviews, and usability testing
• Help analyze and summarize findings from research sessions
• Participate in team discussions to share insights and brainstorm design improvements
• Explore both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand user behavior and needs

Benefits

• Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $30/hour, Max: $46/hour
