For more information, please visit our website: http://www.grifols.com  Purpose & Responsibilities of Position: The Utilities (Stationary Engineer) Intern will have the opportunity to learn more about how the Utilities Department team ties into and supports its business partners and Operations stakeholders by evaluating, maintaining and repairing equipment utilized in the production of WFI/Process/DI RO water, Plant/Clean Steam Generation, and Industrial waste management.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4-year degree program pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering or Trade school as rising junior or senior OR currently accepted or enrolled in master’s or PhD program.
  • Candidate must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Familiarity/comfort with Excel, including working with Macros and pivot tables; Microsoft word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity/comfort with power and hand tools
  • Ability to work in loud, hot and humid environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Project Assignment: Identify and label all Utilities Department Process Lines (Pipes and Valves) based on Engineering drawings.
  • Assist in the performance of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Activities
  • Assist in the monitoring and inspection of Utilities process and support equipment.
  • Work cross-functionally to collaborate with Maintenance Department subject matter experts to understand the interdepartmental coordination within all maintenance departments at Grifols Biologicals LLC
  • Create a presentation to describe the progress and execution of the project assigned.
