About The Position

This summer internship is tailored for college students entering their senior year who are interested in pursuing a career in the insurance industry. Interns will receive training in our product lines and gain exposure to real-world underwriting practices.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Risk Management & Insurance, Business or Math.
• Rising senior status in Summer of 2026 is highly preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of personal computers.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to contribute in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operations such as quoting new business and processing renewals.
• Contribute to various underwriting projects that impact profitability.
• Participate in job shadowing with experienced underwriters to observe territory management and book-building strategies.
• Engage in field visits with Loss Control specialists to understand risk evaluation in diverse business environments.
• Interact with agencies to learn how underwriting decisions align with agent relationships and submissions.
• Participate in professional development through mentoring, Capstone presentation, and feedback sessions.
