About The Position

The Undergraduate Internship at Mayo Clinic is designed to provide relevant field experiences in the chosen field of study for interns. Interns will be assigned one or more mentors who will provide instruction, guidance, and assess performance. Responsibilities include observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit, completing selected work assignments, and fulfilling all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo Clinic and the participating educational facility. The internship duration and timing will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility. Note that placement in the internship program does not provide financial assistance for relocation, housing, or transportation. Interns must also pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Requirements

• Self-motivated and creative.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or master's program in Exercise Science/Physiology, Health/Wellness Promotion, or related majors.
• Completed all coursework except for the internship, or have one semester left following the internship.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program from a college or university.
• Authorization to work and remain in the United States without the need for Mayo Clinic sponsorship.
