About The Position

Interns will be assigned to a variety of projects ranging from grading, concrete paving, asphalt surfacing and bridge construction. Their duties will consist of assisting the Project Engineer and engineering staff with sampling and testing of construction materials, conducting inspections to assure work meets specifications, and assisting the survey crew. The interns will also have the opportunity to learn the processes of construction administration. Duties are primarily performed outdoors and may be physical in nature.

Requirements

• Must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester.
• Must have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program by the start of the internship.
