As a summer Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to support a variety of projects related to transmission operations, NERC compliance, and database projects. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of power engineering. This is an in-person position at our Indianapolis, Morris St office.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate should be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of circuits and power.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, and Word).
  • Familiarity with database structure and design.
  • Established work and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Learn about NERC standards and ensure compliance.
  • Adapt training and operational documents to current versions.
  • Improve document organization.
  • Digitize equipment rating documentation.
  • Validate equipment ratings and limits on schematics and in the energy management system (EMS).
  • Intern may be expected to complete additional assignments as determined by their supervisor.
