Intern-translational integrative analytics
About The Position
We are looking for graduate students in M.S. or Ph.D. programs that are interested in a 3 month internship at Biogen, a leading biotechnology company, working in the area of bioinformatics and systems biology. In this position, the trainee will work side-by-side with Biogen Computational Biology and Therapeutic Area scientists to analyze large scale genomic and phenotypic data sets, leveraging computational, mathematical, and statistical approaches to address important scientific issues in novel therapeutic target discovery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to watch the drug discovery process in action, and to contribute towards Biogen’s efforts to discover novel therapies for neurological and immunological diseases. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on functional genomics projects, analyzing and interpreting RNA-Sequencing datasets. They will contribute in a number of interesting ways, including establishing analysis pipelines, running network biology methods, and integrating different omics datatypes.
