About The Position

Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the world’s manufacturers be more productive, sustainable, and agile. Our Test interns work with a team of engineers and industry professionals to develop and test Rockwell hardware and firmware to optimize industrial operations. You will have the opportunity to be a significant contributor, while getting comprehensive exposure to the business structure of Rockwell Automation and how we are helping our customers bring the Connected Enterprise to life. Our test roles fall into 2 categories: Hardware Test and Firmware Test. In Hardware Test, you will develop test requirements and execute hardware verification test plans for board level functional testing, EMC validation, Certification Agency compliance (UL, ATEX, IECEX), and Functional Safety (IEC 61508). You will perform programming, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes, and contribute to associated product design documentation and test reports. In Firmware Test, you will design and develop scripts for automating test procedures, document test procedures, execute test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated), create test reports, assist with lab audit/improvement activities, and help with the build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms. Rockwell will match your background and skills with your interests and our business needs. Each experience is unique; if you are extended an offer, the manager will share the details about his/her intern role, including specific projects you may work on and responsibilities you may have.
