As an intern in AMAIS team at Micron, you will build on your academic skills and employ Engineering, Physics, and AI-based modeling towards semiconductor specific applications. You will interact with experienced AMAIS modeling experts working on advanced modeling of process, structures, materials, and thermomechanical phenomena tto build and test new workflows. In this position, you will use Gen-AI and Agentic workflows, algorithms and/or solutions. There will be significant opportunities to perform exploratory and new development activities. This position is in Boise, ID, where you will work in a multi-functional team of engineers highly experienced in advanced modeling and AI for engineering and sciences.

Requirements

• Pursuing MS or Ph.D. in relevant fields of Engineering or AI
• Experience with Finite elements, level sets, and CAD
• Advanced skills in ML/DL/AI techniques
• Experience with Bash, Python, C++
• Previous software development and Linux experience
• Familiar with meshing techniques and numerical solvers
• Experience in writing reports and/or conference papers
• Graduation date should not be prior to September 2025.
• We are looking for a Fall 2025 or Spring 2025 intern.

• Ability to work in a team environment and experience with remote collaboration tools
• Familiarity with semiconductor processes or integration

Responsibilities

• Working on a modeling project that involves testing of new methods to perform large scale structural simulations.
• Report results to the team of modeling engineers and collaborate with them on the next steps.
• Implement and test new algorithms.
