You must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, Wastewater Treatment Plant Technology, or related 2 year field of study program! ID1 Expansion is looking for enthusiastic interns to join our state-of-the-art research and development fabrication facility. As a Facilities Water Services Technician Intern, you will gain a basic knowledge of the semiconductor water purification and waste treatment process. Interns will be exposed to new technology and the equipment we use to facilitate the manufacturing of the world’s leading memory solutions! Interns receive on-the-job training that includes safety and cleanroom protocol, preventative and corrective maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and our ongoing improvement programs. With knowledge gained, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional sub-teams to evaluate methods to optimize the efficiency of equipment maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an AAS in Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering Technology, Wastewater Treatment Plant Technology, or related field of study.
  • Encouraged completion of degree between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Relocating to Boise, Idaho to complete a 3-month internship.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Boise if offered a full time role after internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Students enrolled in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Wastewater Treatment Plant Technology, or Instrumentation, Automation programs.
  • Mechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Intermediate PC skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies.
  • On the job training for preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
  • Receive training and participate in area continuous improvement programs.
  • Partner with operations technicians and water engineers/technicians to complete daily priorities that improve learning cycles.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment-related problems and address root causes.
  • Improve reliability by investigating chronic problems and finding solutions.
  • Maintain documentation, including observations and work performed.
  • Perform and facilitate audits and submit good catches on safety and quality issues.
